I'm in a pathfinder in Cornwall and so far since Saturday we've had constant non stop and hard rain, and were still dry.

We had a 1998 Conway Crusader. We often had heavy rain but no problems. The awning roof sometimes held pools but we stayed dry. I did spray proof the roof when I bought it second hand.

I have a 25 year old Conway trailer tent with CGI (Cabanon) canvas, never been proofed and it's yet to leak a drop, even in torrential rain, rain lasting several days, sideways rain and rain accompanied by a gale force wind. As long as you pitch your FC or TT good and taut with no baggy bits to collect puddles and all the zip baffles etc in place I don't see why two year old canvas shouldn't perform as well. Unless the canvas is exceptionally worn or has been contaminated in some way, of course, or is poor quality.

We've had tropical downpours, and no leaks ... you should be fine.

Torrential rain in France...pools collected on the awning (nearly knackered the poles), but not came in through the canvas...plenty came in underneath though and there was one night at about 2am where I was stood holding the awning roof up to stop it collecting whilst standing in about 3" of water...made sure hubby pegged it out tighter the following day!

We have never had any problems rain wise with our FC and it has been out in torrential rain and high winds.
We did once have leaks along the seems of the awning in our old Raclet TT but the Seam Sealer that comes in a tube and is a kind of oily wax, rubbed in along the leaky seam, so stopped all further leaks.

If you should have seen the rain we had for other 36 hours non stop, was worried we was going to get caught up in a mass flood, was well impressed how water tight my pathfinder was.

Not that bad in Dorset, but have had somevery heavy rain at times and the new Olympe had kept us dry, also been quite breezy at times. Once again the English weather puts us campers to the test.
