Just back from a very peaceful few days at the C&CC site at Speyside.
But before settling down to the lovely weather, myself and Mrs Mac had a job to do.
After a lot of research and quizzing on here we decided to convert a Sunncamp Swift 260 to a porch awning for the Pullman.
Plenty of room for the camper table and 2 chairs Inside
Really pleased with the job and fit, and so much easier to fit then the standard awning. In fact when we packed up today, we didn't remove it but just threw it over the top and folded up as normal.
Any thoughts?

------------- I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
Looks good - it would be perfect for us but we have two zips on our awning that meet at the top of cabin and this apparently makes it difficult? . I have seen some pictures of these type of porch awnings, bigger than yours, with so many guy ropes to sort that I couldn't see the point from a normal awning.
Lobelia i have a conway cruiser with two zips and have converted a porch awning for mine, having two zips makes it no harder to do,as long as you can get the zips.

Two zips shouldn't be a problem, it's just getting the right ones.
Only 4 guy ropes, some other awnings have just 2 (storm straps).
We've found the size perfect 2.6m x 2.4m (8ft 6" x 8ft). Enough room for table and chairs, plus plenty room to store other stuff.
The point really, is that it's so light, only a few kilos, can be kept attached to the main cabin and just thrown over the top when packing up. If you don't want to do this, it can be erected or taken down in less than 10 minutes.
Try that with the main awning!!

hi again.yes did it myself,i used the techlite one awning which is about 2.3x 2.3 meters.it only has one pole and 3 guy lines.i leave the awning attached all the time and even leave the pole in it,so it takes less than 10 mins to put up.
i had a sun canopy that we did not use,so nicked the zip of that.
