Hi

We have a old 98 conway cruiser and we must have had some water or something but on the awning, front middle section that unzips, we have some green marks that must have some from the green on the skirts of the awning. Anyway, I was wondering if we can clean and if so how?
Its unzippable so I was thinking of putting in washing machine on cold wash. Then re-waterproof afterwards.

Not worth spending alot of money on it though.

If it's dye that's run then washing it probably won't help tbh. Plus you'll then have to reproof the panel and Fabsil can slightly darken canvas, so you may end up making a small problem into a very big one....

Try giving it a good sponge with luke warm water and a soft pad of white absorbent fabric behind the stain, you may be lucky and find it's just algae or dirt.

I'd just leave it then. I know I'm always saying live with marks rather than trying to clean them but more canvases have been ruined by trying to clean them than being left alone. Marks don't usually leak, canvas that's come in contact with detergent does. And Fabsil won't grip on canvas which has any traces of detergent residue on it.
