We bought a secondhand Sunncamp 350 SE trailer tent last year. Had a few weekends away in it and had lot's of lovely comments regarding it's size.
We are going for out first full two week holiday in it in September and can't wait!
Just wondered if anyone else would share their experiences, tips or advice from using their sunncamp 350 SE (or similar trailer tent).
I'm not new to camping but I just love the space and comfort the sunncamp give you compared to tents.
Ps, I defiantly DO NOT miss sleeping on the floor!
Hi Jackie & Mike
We have just bought a 2nd hand Sunncamp 350 se as well. You've more experience than us in TT'ing - we've had just a few days away so far in it.
I'm going to keep my eye on answers to your post in the hope I'll learn something. Whilst my husband's been camping (tents) many, many times, I've never done it in my life so it's all rather new to me. I really enjoyed the few days away we had (Great Langdale)and the weather wasn't too unkind to us. I could do with going on a course on how to erect the awning quickly and properly and all the other little things - what do I do with the ground sheet to keep out the drafts, etc., So thank you for posting, have a lovely time away and post after you have been with any tips you learnt.
Thanks again, Jannene and John
We bought a brand new Sunncamp 250 had it for about 5 years and absolutely loved it we were then fortunate enough to find our local dealer selling complete 400 canvas which we bought and obviously had to get the poles too because of my back problems it was getting to be hard work pegging out etc we sold Sunny last year and got the Crusader I STILL get a tear in my eye when I see a Sunny harder to pitch but loads more room and lots of fun

i have a 400se that i am reluctantly looking to sell but i can only say good things about them and would recommend them as a decent but cheap trailer tent
The only tip I would give you is to be just a little bit careful with it....
It's a perfectly decent unit at a fabulous price, but the poles are just a little bit thinner, and the canvas just a little bit more lightweight than its more expensive rivals.
None of that matters of course, except that it can put up with just a bit less abuse than others. Makes sure you don't stress the pole joints, make sure you clean the mudskirts with an old towel before you pack it up, and examine all the pegging points year on year to ensure that none of them are getting strained.
All of that advice applies to any TT of course, but Sunncamps get a bad rep because people mistreat them and then wonder why they break.....
I have had chats with Charlie about Sunie's in the past and his advice is valid but I would say that a few years back we were in Dorset the wind was so strong that Weymouth harbour was closed tents were collapsing all around us but Sunny Sunncamp stood tall not one bent pole tear or broken pegging point

We love our 350 se really awful colour but it helps us stand out. My kids love it even helping to clean it!! Be careful of the peg rubbers they really hurt when they ping off lol
