Hi jax, not sure which part of the country you are from ,but have you tried a search for tent repairs in your local area? Many companies will sew you a new zip on that does not cost the earth .T.V.S from Bolton provide a very good service ,but it depends where you live .I had a new door zip fitted on a huge trailer tent ,where the awning was part of the main canvas and found it quite a straight forward job to do .Take a few photos, and mark up with little tape tags to make it easier to put back ,but it,s only a few ties and presstuds .Find a local company give them a ring ,they may take the canvas off ,fit the zip and put it back on for you.
hope this helps GCB
