We where new to TT's when we brought ours. After a couple of camping trips I started to realise what they where the "old-fashioned" drop down legs. They just don't do the trick.I have to tighten them with a towel.(They still slip)So I just wonder can I somehow get the other legs like the ones on caravans and other TT's on mine. What I'm trying to get at is there a clamp-on-wind-down leg for trailers with drop-downs XD
Thanks,

Once you have opened the TT with the beds folded out re-check the drop down legs and then clamp them just where the leg goes inside the square tube with 4 of these 1" G clamps and you won`t spend every couple of days re-checking the legs.
We take a leather riggers glove along to tighten the drop down screws, I usually do them because though my hands are half the size of my OH's I've got a much stronger grip. So ours don't slip, though I do check them every third day or so. And that's with the not inconsiderable weight of OH and myself trampling up and down into the trailer.
As to your question no, you can't retrofit wind down steadies, usually. You normally don't have the appropriate brace points under the trailer. Double check for your exact TT model, of course, but I doubt it.
Thanks for the replies I already use a towel so it's not to do with the grip. Will defo try that idea griff thanks for the advice from pro campers :P I thought no one brought drop down legs as they are such a hassle.

No, don't use a towel, you'll get it filthy. Use a leather riggers glove like me. They don't cost much from places like B&M and they give you x5 the grip, honestly. And once you get the hang of tightening them properly you won't have any more hassle. Wind downs come with their own problems, one of them being the terrible temptation to use them to level the trailer bed which is NOT a good idea.

it's a old towel lol.I thought it was good to level with them.Well there you go turns out I was wrong.Ill try get some gloves.
If you're trying to level with them and taking some of the weight of the trailer on them, that's your problem. That's why your screws aren't holding! You level with the jockey wheel ONLY and carry the weight of the parked TT on the main wheels and jockey wheel ONLY. You'll wreck the frame of the trailer if you try to jack it up on the steadies, whether they're wind down or drop down. (There's one TT which is the exception to this, but it's not yours.)
Level your trailer with the jockey wheel and only then drop the steadies down onto flat pieces of wood (so they doesn't sink into soft ground) and tighten them so they're making contact with the wood but not carrying weight. They're only there to steady the trailer.
I wasn't physically jacking the trailer with them I just levelled with the jockey wheel dropped the steadies on to wood and pushed them down to make sure they where secure then, tightened them.I thought the wind downs where for making the trailer even.
