Hello - we are about to buy a 1990 Penning Pullman camper trailer and as we are new to the UK are wondering what additional steps we have to take when purchasing one. In the US each trailer has its own registration/title/license plate, just like a vehicle. I understand that it is not the same here in the UK (ex - we use our vehicle plate for trailer), but is there any kind of registration or title that we must get from the previous owner (proof of ownership) and/or do we have to inform any government office such as DVLA?   Thanks to all that are taking the time to read these and respond to us new owners.

No, there are no legal procedures here in the UK. You may have to give your serial number/chasis number to an insurance company if you are taking out insurance. (which is recommended).
You may have to inform your car insurance as well when towing.
