Has anyone removed the cabin of a Quickstop? If so, how easy is it? The zip of the cabin door broke over the weekend, we've found someone who can repair it but we have to take the canvas off, so were just wondering how easy it is..

Thanks,

Marie

Sorry can`t help, but if you ring Black Country Caravans and ask to speak to Chris I am sure he will be able to help as they sell Raclet TT.

Not yet, but it is a job for tomorrow - I can then let you know how it goes! Our cabin door zip also broke (although it was our fault it got trapped in the door!) I had a brief look last weekend when we were camping and it looks as is it slides off in parts. When we bought it we were told that the cabin canvas comes off fairly easily so we shall see!

Well it wasn't too bad, although not quite simple. It is a two person job. The way we did it and there may be better ways was the following.

Each side of the cabin has three corded channels (one front back and to the side. Each of these cords is secured with a heavy duty press stud. First I undid all the press studs.

I then undid the zips which secured the cabin canvas to the outermost and top cabin poles. We could then begin to pull out the cords, but to release the tension one of us had hold up the opposite side of the cabin whilst the other pulled out the canvas from the corded channels.

It was then a case of folding it up and trying to get it in a box.

Good luck!

Well we did it the same way you did Hywel, it was a bit tricky in places.
Not looking forward to putting it back on once fixed, although hoping it won't take too longs so we can fit one last camp in before the end of September!

Zip has been repaired for £50 - I'm thrilled! Collecting the canvas this week now and hope to get it back on the weekend and then go away next weekend :-)
