Haven't used our camper for about three weeks and have just tried to move it with the mover and it appears the battery has no charge. It should have been fully charged when it was put away due to a long journey. When I looked at the control panel it was on car, but battery showed red, when I switched to van it showed green! We then attached to the car with the engine running and the mover worked. Any ideas please. The user manual doesn't cover this!!!

Thought it would be a sealed battery.

did you try the mover with the switch on van and without connecting the car? possibly it was just that you had the power switched off especially as the needle went into the green I would guess the battery is ok

Thanks Russ Boy, we didn't try it on van, but having thought about it afterwards we think that was probably where we went wrong. Will do some experimenting! Does this mean that every time we get home we will have to remember to put it over to van so that the mover works the next time? Sorry if I sound a bit "thick" but hubby and I are fairly new to towing etc.

I leave mine on van all the time I am sure that switch is only for switching between batteries and not for charging I might be wrong though

The switch shows which source you are using so if it's on van the meter shows the charge of the camper. I don't know how your mover is wired but if you set it to van and it worked then the van battery is fine. Remember to set it to the middle and switch off the charger switch when you have finished to avoid draining the battery when not in use.

Russ- it does charge which one is selected if the charging switch is on obviously. It'll even charge the car battery IF connected to hook up and car is connected.

Thanks all, still slightly confused, but will have a go at the weekend. What we still can't figure out is if you have it on van all the time, what is the point of having the car choice?!

The car bit is so you can keep the fridge running when you drive.....if it is plugged in by the grey cable to your car.
