we have just bought a cayman driveaway awning can anyone tell me how much it would cost for a zip to be fitted and how do fix the side of the awning to the camper thanks
try TVS from Bolton, give them a ring around £60 seems to come to mind ,but not sure,

I forgot to mention the poles are all part of the awning.
Once zipped in place it took me approx 10 mins to erect first time putting it up.
When I use it in April I will take some better pictures of it and put them in my gallery.

Hi Kermit, 3 ways to go with this 1 use figure 8 strips with one side nipped in so they slide over the zips, 2 Have a zip sewn on to the suncamp swift awning to match the crusader (they have a number) Several places will do this for you including TVS from Bolton .(app £60 )3 a lady on this site called " Lisa Steers" will sell a purpose made lightweight porch awning to fit your camper. If you google "oggies cakes " you will find her. Be a good idea to do a search on this forum for porch awnings loads of information there, and photos and some of lisa ,s too .
Anything special required to sew it on yourself, I mean like industrial sewing machine or some extra tough thread? Or can it be successfully done by hand (and thimble?)
------------- What do you mean it's too cold to go camping? :)
Bogman, normal sewing machine will do it. I did mine myself. I did buy thicker thread but got carried away (testing/finding which stitch to use - I wanted zigzag) and forgot to change it over!!
The stitching was very easy to do I found the placing the awning in the right place on the camper and pinning the awning and zip together very fiddly as working on my own.
Hello I've been reading through old posts trying to get info on porch awnings to fit on the side of my folding camper. I am new to this but you have a post saying you have ordered a kampa rally air 260. Can you please tell me how you got on with this and how you attached it to your camper. Thanks
