Not a great deal to add really, and I will upload a pic when I get chance, but I've just purchased a mid 80's Dandy (the one a little bigger than the Dart) in beautiful condition. Very happy with my purchase!

Can't wait to pick it up. Winter is going to seem extra ling this year as I wait until camping weather rolls around again!

Congratulation, well done, that sounds like a Dandy 4/5 or Delta if you use the name. They only got names in the 90s when they went blue so yours is officially a 4/5. That means it will sleep four and a half people.

Don't worry about waiting until the camping season, a Dandy is for all year round use. Just use a heater, either the underfloor gas heater if you are lucky enough to have one or an electric fan or convector. Leave the heat on all night if you want.

Isn't it amazing that even from the mid 80s it's still in good condition. They really were built to last. That's nearly 30 years old.

This site: http://www.dandycampers.org/ is Dandy specific and will give you a very warm welcome and lots of help.

Understand your comment about winter seeming long. We bought our Countryman last February seemed a long time before we got to use it but we had the best summer for ages . Have had a great time as we retired at the same time and have been able to make the most of the weather.
