After a lot indecision about weight issues re Nissan Micra/Dandy Dart, the seller let me hang it on the back and head for the nearest steep hill on a kill or cure mission...engine coped ok ..did two laps to make sure. so a deal was struck so am now... fine and Dandy.Have sold the Comanche Petite via Pre Loved to nice guy (Alan)who intends to tow with a trike.So things are lookin good....trying to convince the other half that we should have maiden voyage before Santa shows up and costs us a fortune.would love a camping Christmas..anyone done it???

Well done you've made an excellent choice and won't regret it I'm sure. No problems with camping at Xmas in a Dandy (especially if it's insulated) I know several people who have done it and declared it to be great fun.

Congratulations, I'm sure you won't regret it. Winter camping is one of the great benefits of a dandy. Just make sure you have a heater you can leave on all night if its really cold; either the gas underfloor heater if you have one or an electric fan or convector heater.

 

Also if near freezing use propane gas.

HiNavver I do run propane because it runs hotter and use it some times for plumbing jobs.Iwas looking at possibility of using a plinth type fan heater.Itent camped in Snowdonia in snow one year and with a Coleman sleeping bag I was warm enough. I love the practicality of Dandy,they have stood the test of time,no oil painting admittedly.old saying if it aint broke don't fix it.Thanks also to THE ADMIRAL another discerning Dandy man Over and out from Pete
