Most people seem to get on OK with Cif or similar. Ian at Riva recommends uPVC cleaner (and actually sells some as "Dandy Dazzler") which is pretty powerful stuff. I've tried it with no problems though you do have to wipe it off fairly quickly. I can't beleive Muc Off can be any more powerful than that, but can't give any direct advice as I've never tried it - perhaps you could have a go at a little bit of the PVC out the way. Hope you get someone along soon who has actually tried it - if not ask on one of the Dandy forums.
evenstephen thanks will try on dandy forum. See you have a Quechua B presume its an awning if so what do think of it. Have bought a dart in need of TLC hence the muc off
The Quechua Base Seconds is too low to butt right up to the door so is not a true awning, but pitched just a couple of feet away (as you will see from one of my gallery pics) you can get from the door to the porch of the Quechua without getting too wet even when its raining. It's much easier for just a few days (as you probably know, up in 10 seconds and down in not much more) when it's not worth putting up the full PVC awning. I know some people do adapt quick erect porch awnings for their Dandy but I just couldn't be bothered with that and find the Quechua does all we need (storing table, chairs etc, hanging wet coats, and large enough to sit in if we want.)
evenstephen thanks sounds good to me...have got a dandy awning...not over keen on the looks of the ones I have seen erected...haven't erected mine yet so will reserve judgement....Pete
Just back from 4 nights in the Dandy. I have found Comma Road traffic film remover to be good at cleaning the Dandy. I mix approx. 1/3rd TFR to water and apply with a good sponge or floor cloth and then rinse off with water. It leaves a sheen which causes rain water to bead.
Regards Bob.
Dandyman Bob Will have go this week... weather permitting... tried soap and water(fairy)this morning...that's a no no just tried it on the travel cover... then rain stopped play...never thought about TFR...good thinking...Thanks and regards Pete
fenwicks caravan cleaner diluted as directed - available from all caravan dealers and accessory shop.
When I was dandying I just used a strong detergeant of the sort used in pressure washer for paths ( I didn't use pressure washer on dandy) I used it neat on a sponge or even fine wire wool on very mucky areas
