We have a Conway Cardinal Hard top and are moving house to a place without a garage. We are planning to build a garage next summer but whilst it is outside should we worry about having a fully fitted breathable (very expensive!) proper cover for it - or can we getaway with covering it with a tarpaulin as it has a hard cover?
Any advice gratefully received. Looks like most proper covers costs £100 - £200 - is this right? Can't see many second hand ones on eBay.
hi, we hav a camplet which has a hard top and we just place an old quilt then a tarp secured with a waxed washing line over it - done this for 3yrs and never had a problem with damp or any other issues - winter covers are expensive for what they actually are. we also use a heavy duty chain to secure it from theft
We had two Cardinals and a Comanche over the years. We had a breathable cover for one and just used tarpaulins on the others. Never had any trouble with either method. We used to put two large flower pots under the cover to ensure the water ran off.
We have a Raclet Solena hard top and have had a cover made for it. We leave it outside all year.Everythig is put away clean and dry, and have no problem. If you have a local trailer supplier they will have one made to fit. Ours cost about seventy pounds. Hope this is helpful.
