Lidl have a battery charger on offer next week is this one suitable for leisure batteries?,
I know some of you have bought one from here before, but not sure if this is the same

The pulse charging mode is very good for Leisure batteries up to 120 anps and can be left on for long periods.
you might get a lot of post claiming they are no good but at that price worth a look.
My Aldi version is in constant use and is working well after nearly 3 years

The Aldi ones I have differ in featuring an LCD showing actual voltage as well as state of charge; the Lidl ones at least some sold earlier only have LED indication.

Neither are self resetting after a power cut which may or may not suit some applications, ie use in unattended storage.

I went out n got one on thurs. and it does exactly what it says. it's charged up my 75 and 110ah batteries without a problem. well worth the money

I've been using them for years and they are excellent for car or leisure batteries. However, they are low powered (about 3.6A), so don't expect a rapid charge. Also, they will not charge if the battery is too flat, although that is easily got around

As we are talking leisure batteries, you can just run your engine until there is enough current to let the Lidl charger work, or use jump leads from another battery. I have found that the Lidl/Aldi chargers won't register the battery if the voltage is below 10.5 or 11V - can't remember which

I have one of these Lidl Ultimate Speed Battery chargers.

You can download a pdf manual from Lidl's website. The relevant part of the manual says:-

Regenerating / charging empty (used, overcharged) 12 V batteries
It changes to pulse charging mode if the voltage is in the range of 7.5 V ± 0.5 to 10.5 V ± 0.5 V. This pulse charging process is continued until the battery voltage has increased to 10.5 V ± 0.5 V then the battery charger switches into the normal charging mode that you selected earlier.
Note: The LED indicator 8 flashes during the pulse-charging process.
