We're throughly enjoyed our time in the camper, but being very lazy and loving one location has meant we have decided to get a static. This means we need to sell the camper.

Where are the best places to advertise (I've put an advert on here, but need to improve it). When is the best time to sell. We're not in a hurry.

Now is a good time to sell and the "where" is anywhere that is low cost or knowledgeable or high volume audience.

On here is knowledgeable. Ebay will give you a lowcost access to the largest audience.

I know some people complain about Ebay - sometimes rightly so, but there are millions of people selling and buying stuff daily and problem free.

I advertised our Pennine Pathfinder on here, Preloved and Gumtree. All free.
That was back in Sept. which was the wrong time to sell camping gear but it sold anyway on Preloved.

I found I needed to pay £5 to preloved to become a member when we sold our caravan. Can't remember the detail but it sold very quickly and easily. They simply put the buyer in touch with you, they come and see it, pay and take it away.

No messing about with viewing then waiting to see if you've won. Don't forget, buyers may be travelling a hundred miles or more to see it. They are much more willing to do this if they know they can actually buy it and collect it in one go.

The costs on Ebay are enormous if you want a high starting bid or reserve price. if you're happy to sell your FC for £1 then fine.

We've just sold our camper through Pre-loved...had it on gumtree too and in the last week we had 6 enquiries and 3 people wanting to view...it sold to the first couple that came to see it.

No charge on preloved or gumtree (you can pay on gumtree to highlight your ad, but really no need)

It's sold, first viewing. Although they've left a deposit and are coming back to collect in a week or two. Bit sad to think it's going, hope it's new owners take it on lots of new adventures.
