What's the towing limit of the Picasso? What's the weight of the camper? I seem to remember the petrol versions had quite a low tow limit compared to the diesel models. We had a 2.0 diesel but it only had 90bhp and it sometimes struggled to tow a 1000kg caravan even though the max tow was 1300kg.

Hi
I had the 2.0 Picasso diesel and was towing a pennine pathfinder it pulled all right but on some hills it struggled a bit. Have now got a Honda crv 2.2 diesel do not know the pathfinder is on the back, being up the same hills as before no problem.

900kg max tow on earlier 1.6petrol Xsara Picasso & 1300kg on later 2005 onwards 1.6 16v petrol.

We towed the penine countryman plus 2 bikes with our Picasso 1.6 petrol. It towed well on the flat, it did struggle a bit on steep hills.

I know someone who complained of lack of power,towing an older model cruiser with the 1.6 petrol picasso and that only 750 kg,max , the Pathfinder is 1000kg max.

Me thinks you may struggle
