We're thinking of upgrading to a folding camper or trailer tent. We would really like to have a look at the different models available and work out which will be best for us. I had a quick look around a penine Pullman last summer at a campsite (the owners were kind enough to let me have a look) but hubby has never even seen one before. Can you recommend somewhere we could go to look at both trailer tents and folding campers. We are looking to buy second hand. We are in Nottingham but happy to travel.
I had a very helpful chat with the trailer tent guy at Camperlands on the phone yesterday, but they don't have any pre owned stock at then moment. And Burcroft camping is shut until March. Or do I just have to patient until the season starts. I'm hoping to get a pre-season bargain ;)
BCC would be closest to you and they have a good display, it might be worth looking at as many units as possible, get it down to a coupe and then look at he used market for prices, depends how much you want to spend really.
Griffs unit would be a very good buy, pennine are in receivership so even Hugh they are a very good unit both new ans 2nd hand I would hold off at least for a while.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Thanks for the recommendation. I've phoned BCC and they have quite a few on display by the sound of it. Looks like we might be going on a little road trip tomorrow - probably just window shopping for now.
Griff - I love the look of your Olympe I've lost count of how many times I've looked at the photos of it. However it is out of my budget for the time being. But it looks the perfect to set up for us as we have a large family.
There will be lots on new ones on display at the NEC next week, might give you an idea of hwt you want. We are heading there on Thursday to have a good look round.
Hello Queenbee There was a place Hillton on the A38 the other side of Derby I think call Don Amott also Jackson of Ardley not far from Kingsbury Water Park good luck on your search
We had a Pennine Pullman for several years and it was great, plenty of room and easy to put up just the trailer bit for an overnight.
Check the towing capacity of your towing vehicle carefully before you buy, the pullman is too heavy for our Toyota Auris.
Don't forget to budget for the water bottles, electric hookup, security locks etc that will all add to the cost.
We have decided to sell our trigano 415dl ranger this year has a ready to holiday unit. We are waiting for the weather to improve before we get it out the garage though.
