Hi,
We've just bought a 2005 Conway Cruiser. It is the first time I've had a unit with a designated locker outside for the leisure battery, in fact it is the first time I have used a leisure battery.
I purchased a leisure battery yesterday and put it in the locker. There are two clip on connections and my question is when the camper is not in use for long periods of time, ie between trips, should I leave the battery connected in its locker or disconnected?
Thanks for your advice.

I've never bothered replacing the battery in our pathfinder, was dead when we bought it.
We always use electric hook up as it only powers lights and toilet.
Trickle charge is where it just keeps the battery topped up when fully charged.

Never taken mine out ... rarely use it ... couple of times in aires en route ... it seems to charge OK through ehu hook-up each year at campsites. No doubt not the perfectly recommended way of managing it ... but, as I say, like Mr T, we seldom use it.
I use a halfords fully automatic battery charger have had it for about 10 years.
Once battery is fully charged it just tops up the charge as long as it is connected.
