Maybe I should be posting this in the towing section but I really want advice from folding camper towers so I'm going to try here first.
We have a new VW Tiguan TDI, with a retractable tow ball.
It has the new 13pin electrics and we have an adapter to connect the one socket on the car to the two sockets that run the electrics of our Cruiser and the towing lights.
Hope that makes sense so far?
The concern I have is that there is no point to attach the breakaway cable to the car.
The VW garage have given me an advice sheet endorsed by the CC and the CCC which advises to loop the cable around itself.
It says this method is suitable for braked trailers up to 3500kg GVW.
We have a 2005 Conway Cruiser. The camper is mainly packed up with bedding, 4 lightweight chairs, and a couple of lightweight tables.
We never take the awning or poles.
Will this system be ok?
Thank you for your advice.
Becky
