Just the little touches that make your life easier, few hooks from the pound shop means we dont have to keep going in and out of the drawers to get the utensils.

Any simple mods you've made to make yours better or more user friendly?

another little tip,, get one of them solar showers,,, leave it out all day.. get it hot,, and then hang it above your kitchen area ,, ( we had a Jamet montana with awning part for cooker and there was an awning pole we used to hang our water on), you then have hot/warm water on tap into the sink...

Here is a few of my modifications the best one is the wheels
I made new legs with removable trolley wheels as the
Wheel hang quite low in transit and catch the garage floor on the way out

Also made new tops/splash back from aqua panel. cut to size and edged

Also think iv put this up before but fitted a mini oven below the grill

I would love to get some sort of stove top water heater with tap so you could heat the water with the ring nearest the sink and have nice hot water for dishes and that!

Same here, I wanted to remove the shelf under the grill (that we never use) we have a small oven that would fit perfectly.

Can't get it out though, appears to be rivetted in and one end I dont have access to the rivets, so that put a stop to that idea

Would love the wheels too, but again wouldn't know where to start....

Yeh the oven is great I literary sat with argos book and looked for the largest one I could fit in the gap we used it quite abit last year as after a few trips we quickly realised there's only so much cooking you can do on a twin hob and grill! Paul you could always drill the rivets out to remove the shelf?
As for the wheels it was a must as my partner has quite abad back so something had to be done spent some time pricing castors and be gob smacked on how much good ones cost and then there was a old shopping trolley been put in the scrap skip at work! Finally I spotted a cheap solution and unbolted the casters and made new legs from 20mm box section with 12mm nuts welded to the bottem now It can be quite easily removed on my own and wheeled from one side of the camp site to the other if need be lol
What does everyone do for hot water? I find boiling kettles abit of a pain
Thanks pete

Pete, I can only access the 2 rivets on the left side near the gas bottle, the others on the other side are hidden behind the kitchen casing......pain in the bum, but hey ho.

Shopping trolley wheels, Hmmmmmm trip to tesco in the dead of the night might be an idea.

Further up Pete, there is mention of the solar shower pack, did you see it?

Hi Paul not so good could always try some gentle persuasion with your favourite hammer!
There's always a lost trolley lying somewhere lol
I think I may try the solar shower !!!
Thanks for the link! But I must admit iv tried this with very poor results
You can get nice hot water but only if slowly passes through the pipe on the stove so you have nothing more than a trickle coming out
Speed the flow up and its cooling the pipe quicker than it can heat the water!
Best result I had is with 8mm copper pipe coil with a pan on top to concentrate the heat but honestly quicker boiling the kettle
Pete

I have just fitted a tap to mine, using Peter's piccys as a guide (thanks),and a couple of wheels.

All I need to do now is replace the foam seals on the flap and  make a shelf unit. Does anyone have the cabanon deluxe kitchen with the added shelf? If anyone does,a  picture of how it attaches would be appreciated. I can see the general size and shape and I'm assuming it stores on the kitchen in transit, but can't find a picture of the fixings.
