I'm sure this has been covered many times before, but I think it is always useful to post in order to get up to date information.

So, I'm picking the Campllet up next weekend and have just rung my insurance company who have told me that I am insured to tow, but that the Camplet is only insured third party.

But I also need to insure against theft, fire, the usual.

Can you recommend he best companies for price and quality of cover.

Thanks

How about trying Insurance for Trailer Tents as advertised on this forum? They were very reasonable when I had a quote and their policy seemed to be straightforward whilst other quotes treated the TT more like a caravan with a solid body and it would have been difficult to claim for anything. I would also try the club as mentioned above.

We used insurance for trailer tents too...very reasonable. Never had to claim, so can't comment on that, but when I cancelled it a few months back because we'd sold the FC, they were very good and refunded the previous month's premium as we'd sold it a couple of weeks before I got round to ringing them.

Yea, got a quote from on here last night.

£110 for everything including "new for old". A tenner a moth doesn't sound too bad.

Does it?

We use insurance for trailer tents as well. We've never had to claim, but always found them helpful. Even when we rang from the campsite last year because we'd forgotten to renew!

All the best,
Alison
