Hi all we are currently away in our conway crusader 3rd trip out but OMG last night it was windy!!!! Haven't slept a wink!! Whilst I can stand the rocking motion it was theses bloody flaps where the awning would go. They kept us awake flapping all night. We haven't got the awning on as there are only 2 of us and it's a short trip but I just wondered if there is any way to secure it or stop it flapping about?. Anyone else had the same windy problems???

There should be an elastic loop at each end of the flap, put a guyline in the ends and peg down, problem solved.

We went away last weekend and got battered by really gusty wind (see previous thread - gusty wind and folding camper) it was like being on a boat in high winds and very noisy but no harm done to camper which was our concern. Hope you solve the flapping problem and don't find it too disconcerting.

As blueepox said, there should be a elastic bungee cord running along the entire flap, just pull it at both ends and fasten down to something.

Its there for that exact purpose, to cover the holes where the awning poles go

Hi
At the end of each flap there is a elastic cord pull this down & towards the wheel & peg it (this will stop drafts where awning poles meets main cabin as well as blowing about)
              Regards Matt

Same as the other answers, we got caught out last year without the awning up in wind and heavy rain resulting in wet end of mattress and sofa cushion. We pull the elastic tight and hook around one of the bungee anchors for the outer cover.

Or hook onto one of the bed canopy hooks under the fold out flap
