So we couldnt get away last weekend and are itching to try out the new (to us) FC. Booked our favourite site, booked the dog in to relatives for the weekend, organised an early finish at work - and look at the weather forecast!

Heavy showers and 34mph gusts of wind teatime on Friday when we will probably be arriving on site.

Oh well, at least the FC is going to get a proper testing and we will know if it leaks!!

I know the feeling used our Dandy for the 2nd time at Pembrey for 2 nights heavy rain and wind but everything worked and no leaks.

Hope you have a great time.

I was hoping to get away this week and then the weather turned again. Hopefully the weather will improve next week before the bank holiday.

Normally by now I have had two or three trips but last year and this year the weather has been so messy. It's annoying because I have a new (to me) tent to try out.

I am sure your FC will stand up to the weather better than a tent so good luck.

sods law aint it dont bother with the awning, just get the main body erected as fast as you can, get in, get heater on, get a drink n sit in comfort knowing you are safe and not sleeping on the floor in a tent that will be moving all over the place,. Wish i was going out in ours

Just got back from our first ever trip in our new Trigano Galleon. Decided to put up full awning + sun awning. Rained every night and sometimes in the day, no leaks though, hooray! Only thing was duvet was a bit damp in the morning on top, we put this down to the cold temperature at night. Does that sound right?
Anyway, packed up this afternoon in the rain, not as bad as I thought, only have to dry out awnings ASAP.
Can't wait for next trip!

We are debating wether to try and use our new to us (20 year old) folding camper, and as complete newbies with no experience (we only got it monday) questioning the wisdom of trying it out with the predicted weather for this weekend. oh well in for a penny in for a pound lol
