I am thinking of buying a front box for my Conway TT, and I noticed on ebay that there is a  TT for sale that comes complete with front box. However it does not look like  a Conway box more like the type of box that B&Q sell for garden storage. Are these suitable , if so it could work out cheaper than an authorised product. Any advice, thanks!

People use all sorts of boxes. Look at mine, it's home made. I expect that any sort of box would do provided it doesn't let in the rain and is rigid enough at the base. Also don't forget you have to access the corner steady winders at the bottom, and with me you have to get to the cover elastics at the top behind the box.

Hi

Most off the B & Q boxes would probably need reenforcing on the bottom but apart from that they would seem an economical way off providing a front box .I made my own with marine ply and thin angle section for reenforcement.

Hi all,

We just bought a fab box from Costco, think its Contico brand and approved by US mail for using! There was a kind of bracket thingy (technical I know!) on the A-frame and hubby attached it to that by cutting holes in bottom then added a few nuts and bolts. Box was £18 including vat and its HUGE!!  I will take a pic later today and add it to my Gallery pics. If you dont have a Costco near you it would be worth asking someone to get one for you.

We just discussed this on another thread, as I was going to buy the proper Cabanon box for our Galaxy.
After reading the advice from fellow members(Thanks to all) we have bought the deluxe box from B&Q. It's exactly as wide and as high as our Cabanon Galaxy, opens easily, and leaves room at the front for using the jockey wheel.
We are also going to reinforce underneath with a piece of wood the same size as the box. We have some thin foam sheets to line the box with and stop things sliding round on the journey.
I was unsure about buying this box to start with, but if it lasts us 2 or 3 years it's worth it as the Cabanon ones are £170ish.

I went in to B&Q yesterday and looked round the garden section but saw no storage boxes.

I have just looked on their web site www.diy.com and the only garden storage box I can find is a storage bench.

Can any one help with a model name etc.

Cheers Jim

Hi Jim
We got ours from the local B&Q superstore. They have the standard box and the slightly bigger Deluxe box, which is the one we went for.
Don't know if it's just the larger B&Q's that have them.
