Tomorrow we'll be using our new, to us, Pennine Aztec for the first time. We are so excited, camper has been opened a few times the past couple of weeks and some stuff has been packed inside ready, all we have left to do is fix the new number plate on, load the car, hitch up and go.
the site rang us yesterday to say they have had to cancel all grass pitch bookings to to soggy ground, but if we still wanted to go, they'll upgrade us to a hard standing pitch for free! Well it'd be rude not accept it eh?

Have a great time. We have had one trip away in our Sterling and are itching to use it again. And yes a hardstanding will be good, we ended up on a very soggy pitch when we went, tracked mud into the camper and were worried about getting off again!
What's her name? Ours is Amy. In bright pink letters above the number plate, just in case you see us on the road. We're into year four and still get excited every time we hook up and go

Enjoy, whatever the weather does this week.
We loved our Sterling, and were always amazed at where everything went whenever we packed down! Was a very sad day when we had to let her go. But on the Brightside, a couple of years later and here we are about toset off on new adventures in the Aztec

The wife and daughter have named her Penny - not very original but I had no say in it
We'll be off in around an hour, hope it stays dry enough to get a few pics toshare on our return

Even though the site was very boggy we had a great time and the Aztec far exceeded our expectations - especially taking into account the extreme bargain price we got her for
Managed to take a few pics while we were away, once I've downloaded them from my camera I'll post some up

Ah,you mean naming her,or pitching for the first time.Christening her is entirely different
Lol I get what you mean I was meaning our first trip in her - as for any other sort of 'christening' with our 6 year old daughter, it'd be nice to have had the chance

Aah, shes a beauty. Same colour as our Sterling.
How did you get on with the awning/sun canopy? We havent attempted to put ours up yet. Was it very difficult?
Thank you, the sun canopy was simple enough, the second time we put it up!
well after the first time we noticed we had it slightly wrong! Seriously, though once you work out which end of the canvas zips on first, and which pole goes where, it is easy enough

Do you have a diagram of the poles as I have just bought an Aztec awning 2nd hand and cannot work out how they go. I think there may be some missing.
Sorry I don't, it wasn't too difficult to work out which one went where, but then we noticed the roof poles have a 'sleeve' they slide into - down it all came then up it went the correct way
if it helps, there are three poles with hooks on, the hooks attach to the camper, and extend forwards. Two poles have rubber/plastic feet, these are the uprights. Three spikey bits poke through the holes in the canvas, and it all locks together
