Got a charger from Halfords. During the winter I discharge the battery by using the mover. That rotates the wheels, lets me wind the corner steadies up and down
and top the battery up periodically. It also lets me get to the cupboards right at the back of the garage. If you don't have a mover I would suggest that you discharge and charge the battery over the winter to keep it healthy.
I have a regular battery charger and after an hour or so of googling, i used that rather than anything special. left it on charge overnight. worked a treat.
Why discharge? Discharging and recharging for it's own sake is a bit like letting your tyres down every so often to stop them wearing. Lead acid batteries like to be in a good state of charge all the time, and don't suffer from memory effect.

And every cycle shortens the life of lead acid batteries.
A deep cycle every so often arguably helps a battery that is already sick but if not sick, then it is better not to do anything but ensure it remains at 100% fully charged.
