This may be a question for Raclet Charlie........

Does anyone know whether the new hooped awnings on the new Raclet trailer tents will retro fit onto our 2004 Jasmin main unit. Stored the trailer and awning in the mother-in-laws garage over winter and the roof leaked onto the awning. I've literaly taken it out, dried it and vacuumed it on the floor; which has shifted the visible mold. There just seem to be water marks now, but it smells damp. Been wanting a lighter, quicker awning anyway; if the new ones fit I may well invest.

Anyone any idea???

Thanks.

I would suggest its down to the length of the zip, and type of zip onto the main trailer tent part.......

as long as the zip is compatible I cant see any reason why it wouldnt work......

Certainly would make it a lot quicker to erect the awning......and probably give you a zip in gorundsheet option as well.

Thank you for the reply; sorry I've not been on here but moved house!!!!!

Forgot how much work was involved.

I'm guessing the zips would be the same, and generally speaking, Raclets seem to use the same or similar sized main units. I just need someone that 'knows', otherwise the only way to find out is try it; expensive if it doesn't work.

Thanks again

I would either give Chris a call at Black Country Caravans, or call Camperlands . They are both in contact with Trigano and are both uk main agents.

They should be able to answer your question, failing that you could give TVS in Bolton a call, they make awnings and repair units, so they would also be able to help.

Best regards,

Tony

We are on our sixth Raclet :)

The zips themselves have been the same, however, the ends that they start and finish at have been different, also whether they were one long zip or two shorts ones meeting in the middle at the apex of the cabin roof, or starting at the middle and ending at the sides.

I made the mistake of buying a 2nd awning, making sure that the zip was the same length only to run into the probelm of the zips being exactly the same in length and tooth size/style but still not being compatible.....
