Its what available at the best price really, you will get all sorts of names come up but any of them are just a box to carry stuff & they will all do the job. So yes Erde is as good as any.
Erde are popular mainly because they are retailed by Halfords and widely available. We had an erde 122 for many years and it gave decent service with extensions and regularly full of logs.
The wheel bearings can be a bit suspect if you buy a used model.
They are perfectly serviceable for normal use. There are better trailers about but they will cost more money.
We've just sold our Erde 122 which I converted with extended sides for our camping equipment.Very well made trailer,me too had wheel bearing trouble but was able to get parts off Ebay and do the job myself but I don't think would be a expensive job to be done at a dealer.Size is approx 4x3,about average size for camping.Worth a look on second hand market first as new prices are abit steep.
We have an erde 122 for sale. It has a jockey wheel, spare tyre and a hard top(lockable). Been kept in garage when not in use and only been used for 2-3 weeks each year. It is about 5 years old and in v good condition Looking for £250, if your interested.
cheers guys iv been online and came across a company called sandtoft sheds and trailers they seem to have a huge range of trailers there of the edre range and seem to be reasonable prices there based in Doncaster going to pop down and take a look thanks again guys for the advise, Steve
