Hi try a search on past posts for "awning insructions" and "Ronns" asked the same question as yourself. Someone answered a good verbal instruction and "Mr T " has posted a drawing with all the poles and positions for a pathfinder awning
Hope this helps GCB

hi  skye,  if you search  for  a thread on here by lisa, under the name of oggies cakes, she also has a thread  on  converting  a  porch awning to fit a pathfinder, we had the same problems as yourself  after buying our 2004 pathfinder about 3yrs ago, first time we tried to erect it was nearly divorce proceedings, lisa kindly e-mailed us a diagram of the pole layout, search on here for thread on putting the awning up,  there is many helpful post on here,

From memory, there are 5 vertical poles and 7 roof poles.

3 of the vertical poles have spars welded onto them that join with 2 of the roof poles. These 2 roof poles are the horizontal ones at the front of the awning.
Start by sorting out the 2 corner and 1 middle vertical poles and in between these lay out the 2 vertical poles with the clamped ends.

The 5 other roof poles have hooks at one end and these hook into the holes at the top of the main cabin frame.
These 5 poles should be hooked in place before you zip the awning roof onto the main cabin.

3 of the hooked roof poles have ends on them that slot into the sides (2) and the middle vertical poles.
The other 2 roof poles have clamp ends on them and they clamp onto the front horizontal poles that go between the middle and each side (corner) poles.

There are a further 2 vertical front poles that also clamp onto these front horizontal poles.

I know this sounds complicated but once you lay out all the poles it will become clear as to what goes where.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Cant add picture ...

Not sure if this works but here is a layout if I have worked out how to add a picture link! Cheers

Ps on the pathfinder there is also two extra legs that come down the front not showing here. Here you see 3 legs at the front they are the main legs and for argument sake are number 1 leg no 3 and no5 or two ends and one centre. Either side of the centre leg in line the middle go legs 2 and 4 therefore. Probably confused the matter but hey I know what I mean :-)

Have a good one !
