Is it a legal requirement to use extended mirrors when towing a folding camper ??

If the camper is wider than the car, you must have mirrors

Easy 'rule of thumb'. If camper is wider than body of towcar then you need towing mirrors. Actual law is slightly complicated but you need to have a certain field of vision behind & you may not have this even if you can see over top of trailer if it is wider than towcar body.

Even more general rule of thumb is side entry FC will need them and end entry FC possibly won't need them
