Hi all I am after a bit of advise for a friend:
They recently purchased a brand new Sunncamp TT, after spending a couple of weeks in the south of france they have a few issues with the quality of the canvas, and other materials, bed pods to small for mattress, zips not meeting at the ends on the built in ground sheet, velcro for curtains don't line up, hole in insect cover on window to name a few. Want they they want to know is can they get a full refund or will they have to settle for a part refund or problems rectified. Overall they are very disappointed that after spending a few thousand pounds this product now seems sub standard and not worth the money they spent. Thanks in advance for any useful info
Hi
If you have used the goods I found this on the citizens advice web site
Have you been treating the goods as your own?
The Sale of Goods Act 1979 says you may have 'accepted' goods if you've treated them as your own.
For example, if you've carried on using goods after finding out they're faulty, this could mean you've accepted them. If you want to take goods back and claim a refund, you should stop using them as soon as you find a fault. Treating goods as your own could include trying to repair them yourself after finding something wrong. It's always best to try and get the seller to repair them, rather than do it yourself. If the seller has tried to repair the goods and failed, you should still be able to claim a refund.
Looks like the seller will have to replace the faulty parts
