Hi all, hello! Im new here, just selling a Trigano Chantilly GL thats too big for only two of us and bought instead an old "much loved" Camplet Concorde that needs some TLC!
I've a question after opening it today: how do you retain the mattress on the lefthand bed when the lid is being closed? I've heard mention of something on the official videos but there doesnt seem to be anything included with this tent, and the seat cushions just fall down.
Any ideas? Are we doing something wrong?
Also it appears the backrest gets jammed and wont fold up/down without a struggle (ends catching some nuts). Again any ideas?
Finally how do you fit the underbed storage skirt thing? I cant figure which way round to clip it to the roof rack!
Hi, I used to have a Camplet. To retain the L/H mattress there should be a set of restraining ties in an X shape which are tensioned and secured to prevent the mattress falling, (hope that makes sense?)
As for the under bed storage, I never managed to be dexterous enough to fathom out how to clip in place before opening up, so I always had to crawl underneath and clip in place!
We have moved on to a caravan now, must admit I do miss the ease of towing the Camplet and pushing into position, but don't miss clothes being damp in the morning. Good luck and enjoy.
For the retainer go to a camping shop and get yourself some shock cord, you will need approx 4 metres, and 4 small caribeeners, cut the cord inhalf and form an x and tie the lengths together in the middle, tie a carribeener to each end of the straps and voila you have a retainer.
The under bed storage is clipped to the rack and fits with the press studs hanging down and the long skirt dangling to the left of the closed trailer so tha when open it fits under the base of the trailer.
Hope that helps and enjoy your Camp-let.

With the under bed storage thingy I crawl under and clip it on once tent is up but I have marked with some gaffa tape positions the clips go at so I can see straight away where I'm aiming for (I have added cycle carriers which has changes position. I my camp let!
