Hi JF, and welcome to the forum. How far are you winding the legs down? If you go too far you could be lifting the camper .The legs or steadies are only meant to stop the camper rocking You should level the camper side to side using chocks or similar (on the wheels) ,level front to back using the jockey wheel, then when you think you are level drop the steadies just enough to stop it rocking and the door should open and shut
