Hi all, as I've now found it's the mcb that is faulty in my fuse box in my pathfinder, has anyone ever changed one as I can't see how you remove front of fuse box.seems to be riverted on, just wondered if there's another way to get front off? To get to remove the mcb trip
Thanks

Not sure how the mcb's come out, I assumed they just pulled out like the fuses ?
I did have a problem with the electrics once (mine is a PSU2005, Sargent unit), One of the connector blocks going in to the PSU at the bottom had come loose causing the polarity light to come on & therefore no 240v to the camper. Before I found this simple fix, I did remove the whole unit, easy, 4 self tapping screws, getting it all back in was a problem ! Need a long magnetic screwdriver & some pva glue to help hold the screws back in !
Sorry this probably doesn't help you, but good luck.
Ah thanks all I thought the rivets had to come out. I've ready it's a common fault with the pathfinder, why They just can't make them accessible like a normal fuse box I will never know.

Not sure what make it is as I don't have a pathfinder. You should be able to remove the cover then the MCB should unclip from the busbar end, that's the end without the cable. The cable end will be hooked in.
BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANYTHING OR START ANYTHING, UNPLUG IT ALL FROM THE SITE EHU. WE DON'T WANT FRIED MR T.
They are most likely double pole MCBs which are wider than domestic ones. Camper MCBs should be double pole or DP for short.
Make sure the new one is the same make and rating and type (B, C or D) Probably a B.
Lol thanks navver, I will be ok I deal with electrics.and your right mines double pole, though they seemed to change on the sargent 2005 psu to a single pole as well at some point . Found a used one on flea bay but can't get hold of new one at all. Seems stupid when these boards are in so many caravans etc. just a pain to get hold of then having to drill out rivets on the board. Oh well.
