I am absolutely clueless about this so would like some advice on the different storm straps available. I'd like to get one for a 1994 Pennine Pullman with 5m x 2.5m awning.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi GeeBee, I have a crusader and I have this storm strap with anti friction padsthese. Admittedly I've not had to use them yet (thankfully) but better to be prepared. Shop around on price. Hope this helps.
That's what I use on my Pullman ... works well.
Make sure you place it over the knuckles (joins) where the roof poles meet the uprights .... do not place over roof poles only ... they will bend!
Brilliant, just logged on and seen this, bought the strap from the Amazon link above which is much cheaper than towsure as well. Let you know how we get on with it
Cheers
I might have a go at making one up from smartecosse's suggestion, as that's much more my style and I have most of the components.
Have managed to arrange to finish work early on Wednesday so will be out for the FC's maiden voyage (with us as owners) for Wednesday/ Thursday night, weather permitting
