We are in the Caravan Club, but we have been in it since we had the caravan. We are booked to stay at a CC site in September for the first time since we have had the TT. I'm not sure as we haven't looked at lots of sites , whether CC club sites are mainly hardstanding pitches (some people in tt's don't like) or some grass and hardstandings.
Personally we don't mind hardstandings but it maybe something to look at. Not a member of the c & c club so so not sure about their sites.
I'm sure somebody else will be along soon.

Thanks Rachel that's really helpful. Our. Solena has the fold over lid so I hope a hard standing wouldn't damage it!

We use our Solena on hardstandings whenever available. We put a tarp down under the lid to protect the rack. There are a few pictures in my profile.

We left the C&CC and joined the CC when we changed from a tent and find CC sites generally are better kept and have better facilities.

We've been members of the C&CC since our first season in a tent, and are quite happy. I have looked at the CC, but as of yet haven't had a reason to switch.   I would suggest you have a look at both clubs info, it might well be that site locations are your deciding factor.

We are long term members of C&CC ever since we bought our first TT. There are excellent facilities on many sites and a regular programme of upgrades. But have a look at both.

Camping and Carravanning club, we are on our second TT over 9 years.

This site for campsite reviews, we have found them to be very good honest and accurate.

I have never liked being pitched next to caravans,the owners always seem to forget that thumping up and down in hobnails during the 3am bog trot and shouting for their Sanatogen over the tv can disturb those under canvas. So the C&C for us. Not that you are guaranteed a canvas unit next to you,just the chances are better

Mostly caravans on the C&CC sites as well, especially if you use an electric hook up. I quite like watching them take longer to pitch than us though!

We go to a couple of commercial sites to pitch amongst tents.

Camping and caravan, our mid 90's sunncamp, and my boys would go nowhere else. You get a nice mix to look at, not all white boxes on wheels.

C&CC. been members for years.

Sites are open to non members, but members get reduced pitch fees.
Facilities are excellent, lots of CL sites.

Very helpful if you want to go abroad booking ferries, advice etc.

Concessions for over 60s at some sites and extra discounts for all at certain times of year on certain sites.

There is also a FC section.

We joined the CC years ago - only for a year. C&CC much more relaxed!
