Hi all
Just come back from 2 weeks in the pathfinder and used the omen for the first time.
Just a question on how you use yours.
I noticed when I switched the oven on and closed the door, after about 5 mins the flame went out.
I had a play around with it and looked at the instruction manuel but the only way I could get it to stay on is to leave the little cupboard door below the oven open!! Nothing in the Manuel and I realise it's lack of air into the rear of oven but wouldn't have thought that opening a door is the correct way to use it ??
I also tried removing the cover on outside of camper but believe this to be for the water heater only.
I notice there is a single air vent in the floor under the oven and not checked yet if the previous owner has taped it up or something is obstructing it (will check this weekend).
Anyone else have this problem or any solutions ?
Btw the oven looks like it has never been used.
Thanks

Try and have a look for some old threads about this because I am sure that I have read about this before. We don't have that problem but we have the fan heater under our oven so I suspect that enough air gets in via the vents for that.
We did have an issue one day with the flame going out but that was very strong wind blowing down the oven side of the camper.

Hi
Sorry but can't see why closing the camper door will have any bearing on the oven ???
Or am I missing something ?
Not checked the air vent as yet but have read old posts on this subject and some people have issues and some don't so I think I'll give pennine a bell next week and see what they say.
Thanks

We found the same, and closing the door helped as the draught from directly opposite was extinguished, if there was a strong wind coming in from outside with the oven on the flame would go out.

As said, we used to have to have the bottom half of the camper door closed, can't tell you why though.

It's the draft, it whips up into the oven and blows it out, we've had to shut the door a few times. Also some fan heaters as mentioned, blow them out due to the fan causing a suction.

Had mine go out on me a few times and just relight it and kept an eye on it and also on occasions closed the camper door.
