Looks like we've bought a conway cruiser. We'll be trying it out for a few weekends coming up.
If it's a bit chilly at night what's the best way to give a bit of heat inside? I was thinking something like a 500w convection heater plugged in to the 240v socket assuming we're on a site with hookup.
500w may take some chill off but something a bit bigger would be better. They are very well insulated for keeping heat in but a fan heater will work fine as will a larger power oil rad
We used to use a 500-1500W variable oil rad that had a fan heater bit built in
I second the 2k fan heater and electric blankets for the beds!
There is Somthing quite nice about waking up on a chilly morning breathing In nice cold fresh air and being nice cozy with the electric blanket on! Maybe it's just me! Lol

Another vote for the electric blankets...it made it so much more comfortable at night time...and a fan heater or oil filled rad.
I'd also say, make sure you take enough warm clothes for during the day...it's very hard to get yourself warm in the evening if you've got very cold during the day.
Late season camping can be very enjoyable if you are set up to keep the cold and damp at bay. I agree that 500W may not be enough. We use a 2KW fan heater as they are small and light and give quick heat. Leccy blankets are on my list for next year.
The later in the season you go, the more important EHU becomes.

Booked so far:
June: Charity Farm
July: Gullivers MK
August: Tregurrian, Cornwall
Sept: New Forest
We will probably take our small oil filled rad out with us in the darker months.
Sleeping wise we have a double thick layered fleece blanket which keeps us roasty toasty. Our double sleeping bag is fairly thick too.
We have a 2kw fan heater I think it is a ceramic fan heater which means you don't get the horrible smell that you can get with some elec heaters. Also elec blankets are fantastic in the colder months
------------- What do you mean it's too cold to go camping? :)
