I'm after a camplet (used) I know camperlands are the main dealer selling new and used. But I notice three shires have a strong eBay presence and their used camplets seem and better deal than camperlands.
Anyome dealt with them? What are they like?
We bought a camplet from three shires, service and value were faultless. Before we had a chance to use it the dog diagnosed diabetic, which meant we needed a proper fridge for insulin! Phoned Ivan and he could not have been more helpful. We changed the camplet for a pop top van, he gave us a very good deal on the van so we did not lose out, and they even supplied and fitted the new tow ball we needed for no extra charge. Had no trouble with the van either.
We would definitely recommend them, in fact I've now got my eye on a newer pop top, only don't tell my husband. Good luck
We bought a used camplet from Threeshires last winter, to bring to France.
Excellent service on all counts..even after sales and over here !
Can't fault these two guys, or their business ethics.
They deserve to do very well indeed.
Have bought caravan from 3 shires..found them extremely reliable..great after sales (including new fridge )...could not be more helpful..in the past I've had camper van, trailer tent, caravan and motor home...so can really rate 3 shires ...good luck
Bought a folding camper from Three Shires Leisure in August and was reassured the camper had a full service and there is a 3 month warranty on it. Took it on holiday in September and had problems from the first minute. Most issues were small and required a quick dash to the shops to purchase things like electrical cable, ground sheet for awning... Main problem was the fridge supplied was frankly dangerous. It wouldn't turn on so I plugged it into the car socket and it blew the fuse in the car straight away (which required another 15 miles trip to the nearest halfords). With the help of some fellow campers we discovered the fridge cable was MELTED onto the fridge so there was no chance of it being able to work. Tried to connect other appliances to the 12V socket in the camper and that is dead as well (probably blown by the fridge) so now I need an electrician to sort that out. I have contacted Three shires leisure about the problems and they never bothered to reply to me.
We have only just noticed this negative feedback you have left regarding the folding camper you purchased from us.
As per the telephone conversation we had regarding your problems with the folding camper.
Firstly you had already pointed out to us that you had already made some minor electrical modifications to suit your requirements which were not correctly certificated and you had already had the camper for longer than 3 months.
All the items you had to purchase separately would of been quite normal as all of our campers will only come with accessories that are listed in the details.
If at any point you wish to bring the camper back to us to check it over we will be more than happy.
I part exchanged my folding caravan earlier this year and Ivan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend using them, no question was too dumb and Ivan helped me reach my final decision.
I would suggest finding where they are on google maps before you drive there though - it's a bit of mare to find. I had to phone Ivan 3 x on route! he was ever so patient.
Three Shires, an excellent response.
It simply reinforces that old adage, always two sides to every story.
Unfortunately sometimes you only get to read one side.
I wish more dealers would reply. Im always a bit suspicious of someone who joins a forum and on the same day they join posts a very negative post. I also note there have been no other posts from this member.
he`s just angry at what he perceives as poor customer service. most people, when on the receiving end have a moan to the missis, their mates, some bloke down the pub.
since the internet, people have a whole new range of "friends" to moan to. they search for the name of the company, register for a moan then disappear again..
it doesnt mean their moan isnt valid. you just treat it with kid gloves because as pnefan says, it makes you suspicious.
the other side is when the above happens and the companies reply. it can quite often make entertaining reading.
i believe every company that deals with the public should have one member of staff who is allocated time to google that companies name and reply accordingly. even if its just an hour a week.
not only can they keep on top of their reputation, but its the best form of self criticism out there.
