The electrics etc, can be a little random in the Pennines, so procedures can vary slightly, and it will also depend on whether you just want to move the fridge out partially, to allow access, or take it right out.

Obviously, it goes without saying that all gas and electric supplies need to be off before you start.

On the front of the fridge, there are usually 4 square or rectangular plastic facing plates, covering the mounting screws. Remove these with a knife or electrical screwdriver, to expose the screw underneath. Undo these screws, and the fridge should, then, simply slide out. If you are taking this right out, you will need to disconnect the services to the fridge, by undoing the gas pipe into the back, and disconnecting the electrics. As I say, electrics, particularly, can be a bit random. Some will have a simple domestic plug which can just be unplugged, and some are hard wired into the camper electrical system. There will, usually, also be a 12V input, which is relatively easy to unscrew, if needed. Once out, you can do whatever you need to do to the cabinet, but, if you can get away with just undoing the 4 screws and sliding it out far enough (subject to length of pipes and cables) that will be a lot easier, as the gas supply, particularly, can be a mare to disconnect sometimes.

Thanks for the info,,Can the outer vents be removed to access the fridge if I need to remove the 240v wiring and the gas supply, as I cant see the fridge sliding out far enough to access the supplies.

I don't see why not. I've removed a few (admittedly, mostly from Fiestas and Sterlings, and I've never and I've not had a problem with them. but the space in a Pathfinder is, admittedly, slightly different. Definitely worth a look.

Yes upper and lower vents can be removed easily and this will give you better (not great) access to rear for all the connections.

Wedge it back up, that's what I did. It's not thick enough to take the weight and should have had something fixed to the panel at the back to stop it from Bowing. I just cut a wedge and wedged it off of fridge..

Hi mrT

How did you get in with the wedge ??
Ours to is bowed at the back, it's usable but plays havoc with my OCD so if there is a good fix without replacing I need to know.
Thanks

Hi pencamper, yeah your like me. I Would have like to put something across the back but it's a pain to strip out so put my level across the back and wedged it up off the fridge. All Good so far front still has slight dip but hard to get to. It should have had something across the Middle and back to give strength and been at least 18mm thick.

Ours has bowed too on the Crusader, what I'm having more trouble with is the strip that the wardrobe slides along. It's pulled out from the screw, and the larger headed screw I tried is on it's way through too.

Did you ever get this sorted ? Ours is the same and we wondered if we could get the top off and use sticks like SH**T to glue a support wedge underneath…..the 12v light plugs into thorough and wasn’t sure what the wiring would be like underneath ?
