We bought our first trailer tent a few weeks ago, and the people we bought it from never used the gas hob - they were the second owners, not sure if the first owners did. It's a 2007 Sunncamp Holiday 350SE.
Is there anywhere we can get the gas checked before we use it?
Don't want to use it if there's anything wrong if it hasn't been used in the 2 years the previous owners have had it!

Somewhere that services caravans? We got a mobile caravan servicing guy out to ours when it needed attention, he was quite happy to do it.

Theres not that much to a gas hob, connect up gas bottle, regulator & hose, have you done that before? if not ask how. Then light it up. If it works ok with no smell of gas escaping anywhere then its ok. Gas hobs rarely go wrong. I'm still using one from the 1980s.

However If you have no record of trailer ever being serviced then as pointed out, book it it into a caravan workshop for a full service, normally about £200 for caravan, this will include service of brakes & running gear.

Also at 7yrs old, if tyres have never been changed it would be a good idea to change them even if tread is ok as they could be perished & possibly fail at motorway speeds.

Thank you Alison - never thought of a carvan servicing department!

Thanks both - just wanted to be sure it's all ok before lighting it up. Have no idea about a service (didn't realise trailer tents were meant to have them!). Tyres look ok - will look into changing them before next season.
