Hi I have a Trigano Alpha which is leaking along the seams of the main tent. It doesn't seem an uncommon problem for this type of tent reading CombiCamp forums as well. The theory is that they use a needle which is too thick, and cotton stitchin which is too thin.
I need to have it replaced, but don't know how to remove it from the channels it sits in. I don't want to force anything so wondered if anyone could help or would have experience of this.
I bought it in Holland and rather than driving over there to deliver it and then again to collect it, I'm trying to remove it and post it, hence the original question. If I can't work out how to do this I will have to pay full price for a replacement and source it locally. This is a £1500 question :)
On e of the promlems go buying abroad, have you tried contacting Trigano directly, assuming that the seller has offered to sort out the canvas.
You could try contacting Christ at Black Country Caravans, they are Trigano maiin agents, I am sure that he would give you the information on how to remove te canvas.
I should have listened to you Valk_scot.
I wasn't able to get the tent off the frame, so as a last resort I bought some McNett Seam Sealant. It's totally different to the sealant the TT supplier sent to me. Much thicker. The product I had tried before was a liquid and dispersed in a bottle that was like a roller deodorant. I've applied the McNett sealant inside and out, and to screams of joy, I discovered this afternoon that it works. What a fantastic relief. Researching CombiCamp TT's I had discovered this issue is quite common which gave me confidence to give it a go. Thank you to you all for bearing with me in my moment of panic!
Tom
