Thanks to all of you for the help with my pathfinder the advice has been very helpful. What I'm doing for now is lowering the front so any water drains out. And put some thick poly over the top so it covers the door. Then the winter cover over that

It has got a rubber seal but it acts like a ski jump for water. I Have just lowered the front just of level and at the moment it's getting a good test.

Our crusader always leaked into the gas locker / front compartment...we were told it wasn't watertight when we bought it.

Our Pullman leaks at the gas locker but it's down to there being no seal and the lip the door rests on has a crack in it. Working on getting the crack fixed and a new rubber seal before the winter...

Could it be the seal needs replacing? I know I had to do it once on a Mondeo, it was watertight except in a deluge! New seal later and watertight and the road noise had been cut as well... Rubber will perish and lose its elasticity over time..

Hi Gaz22, we have been to Pentewan a couple of times and it is a fantastic site if you like a busy one, lots of partying and fun, right on the beach too. Great for families who like a good time.
Now the downside, it gets packed, with lots of kids running around with water pistols etc. So if you want a nice quiet break forget this one!

Hi,thanks for posting this problem about the leak in your front compartment Gaz 22. We have a1995 Pathfinder, and up to this last holiday we have never had any problems with leaking. We arrived on site, set up only to be welcomed by a smell that can only be described as dead badger! The carpet in the loo and from the front bed end to the small seat on sink side was soaking. We had opened the camper the week before to load up but not gone in,loading from outside so hadn't seen or smelt the carpet. Not knowing where it had come from we wondered if we had forgotten to empty the loo flush, and as we tilt our camper up to drain the water off the top it had spilt out? We know think thanks to your post that we have had the same problem as you. Our front compartment has a seal but it is very soft. Next job replace rubber seal. Hope you get yours sorted.

I had the same problem, in my case it was a loose wire in the towbar plug
