Just as a point the 85% is just a guideline (not a rule at all) based on cars kerbweight for novice towers to ensure they remain legal and theoretically safe.

It means nothing outside of the UK caravan fraternity and has no standing in law.

Correct loading of car and trailer/caravan is far more important to ANY outfit please remember

Pullman 535 can be loaded up to 900kg, and the older Pullmans are 700kg, so even easier for most cars.

Ooops! Yes, of course, the Pullman is 900kg limit. Thanks for the correction!

Best thing I can advise is to get out to a showroom like Black Country Caravans and try one out. I wouldn't rule out a TT, my partner also suffers with Rheumatoid arthritis, so she delegates the heavy work to me! Though it still takes two of us to put the awning up, with a bit of swearing.

As for car towing limits, don't just go by any rule of thumb guidance. I have a Peugeot 3008 which delivers close on 200 BHP, but because it's a hybrid, the towing limit is 500kg BRAKED, we got a nice Trigano Galleon weighing in at 350kg. Also don't forget to check the nose weight, some cars have a surprisingly low limit.
