We went abroad 3 times in our Quartz 4, The Dordogne, SouthWest coast of France and Germany (Lake Constance) All three occasions we experienced hot sun. We found it very easy to ventilate the tent so the heat was not a problem, even though we had the short lived heavier version of the acrylic. On a hot night we had the window inner plastic rolled down, with the outer plastic held open by the Pen-vent rods. Worked a dream. No problems.

Apparently, the thermal barrier works both ways, and should help, marginally, in the hotter weather, as long as there is adequate ventilation.

The Isabella blurb says that it protects against; "The effect of heat and cold from the outside" so I'm assuming it must help in some way, though it's likely the thermal effect will be roughly the same as it is in the cold (ie a 3 degree difference, against normal canvas).

The only thing we had against the FC apart from setting up and dismantling times, were the draughts and I guess these will be true whether the covering be canvas or acrylic.

I seemed to spend a great deal of time on any trip, hunting for where the dammed draught was coming from and how to stop it.

As you get older, draughts become more of a problem and can affect the whole enjoyment of a trip away.

Now that we are surrounded by tin and plastic, setting up times and draughts are but a distant memory.

Ah, but so is towing at 70 in France, breezing under the height barrier in the fast lane on toll roads, being the centre of attention on so many campsites ... not just one of a forest of tin tops and motorhomes ... ah ... the joys of FC-dom!

We have a Pathfinder Q6 2013. No leaks after 8 continuous days of rain in Scotland last year!!! very quick to dry. Just make sure the tensioning is correct and the water just runs off.

Draughts are now something we play in the van on nights when the telly is rubbish!

Draughts of a windy nature are but a distant memory.

Yes, we bought our Pennine Pathfinder Q6 last year. Spent
About 8 weeks in it throughout the summer. Isabella fabric is fantastic! Had a few downpours, no leaks at all. Camped in Beginning of April right through to Mid October last year and even with night time temperatures dropping to 2 degrees, was never cold (though did put fan heater on a few times)!

It is very light weight too, the awning (same material) and light poles have very little weight. I was able to set up FC and awning on my own with no problem at all.
