After fixing my baby he now needs an awning. Any recommendations for one that will fit where in the groove it's supposed to on the side of the hard top? Thanks

Congratulations on fixing that cable! - no mean feat.

Re. an awning. The Americans don't have them. The nearest thing is a 'screen room' which is just a mesh box - designed for sitting in on sultry Alabama nights, keeping the insects at bay.   Not usually problem here ;)

They do have bag canopies (like the fiamma type). We used to use a Fiamma sunstore - which was a cross between a Fiamma caravanstore and a simple cotton sheet canopy.

If you really want an awning, I'd suggest looking at something designed for small motorhomes /van conversions. They will have the necessary height adjustment and can be quite narrow (thus keeping it to the width of the hard top.

They connecting part forms a sort of short tunnel, which then opens up into a wider awning part.

The Dakota should have a profiled aluminium rail fixed to the side of the hard top - the awning bead will simply side into that.

If the channel is missing a length can be bought cheaply - but ensure that you stick it on using Sikaflex, rather than drill and screw it to the side of the roof. Once cured the Sikaflex will be more than strong enough, and the less holes you put into that roof the better.
