We have a pennine Sterling c1999 model, having put it up for the first time I discover that there is a crack in the centre roof pole, where the awning fits into the pole. Don't want to trust it breaking with awning up and maybe wind.
Does anyone know where I might get a replacement overhead pole?
The uprights are fine.
is it the main unit steel pole where its drilled that the awning pole hooks into thats cracked?
if so remove the pole section and find a local engineer with a mig welder get him to drill the end of the crack to stop it spreading and fill the crack with weld and redrill the hole and grind it up for you it should take him/ her 10 mins and some beer tokens
if its badly cracked they should be able to over plate it and seam weld it in place will cost a bit more but little jobs like this keep small engineering firms in beer ;)
once home a can of cold galvanising spray to protect the steel from rusting
or is it the plastic bush where the hook fits thats cracked?
or this bit where the pole goes to the awning legs

Pennine will make them up for you if needed. We replaced the main pole in our Pathfinder as it too had cracked at the awing attachment point. I can't remember how much it cost I'm afraid as I've moved email addresses since.
