Never posted photos of my efforts on here but as the weather was nice.. we didnt get away due to work commitments but i did however finish my job sheet...

So here we go.... my bargain Pennine Pullman

Bought in December at a cost of £280 and a day out on the otherside of the country.

Wheel bearings and brakes checked and all fine.
Gas system all serviced and safe/working
Fitted a newer 12v battery and LED lighting/12v power
Fitted a 240v RCD + sockets
Fitted battery charger to keep the 12v system running
Water input/output all sorted and working with no leaks

Repaired the outer part of the bodywork
Fitted new towing lights/rear lights
Also tidied up and fitted other smaller items such as new break away cables, fire/gas alarms etc...

All in i think ive spent about 150/200 tops on it.

Also have awning - its all been out in the rain and only 1 small area looks to let a bit of moisutre in - but that was without awning on, the awning covers this area up so im happy its leak free.

The idea behind this was to basically 'give it a go' if we like it, maybe stick with this for a year or 2 and then look to save up for something newer, if it doesnt agree... sell it on as at the costs involved i dont imagine i'll lose out and get a bit of use anyway!
We are a family of 4 (kids aged 4 and 5) with dog.

And towing with a lwb shogun :)

Well done on the work. It's an ideal way to give it a go. I started out 2 years ago with a cheap Pennine Sterling. Couldn't get the parts for it, so I bought an identical one on eBay, for £225, stripped it for everything I needed and sold the remaining bits on eBay. The proceeds of that covered the cost of my own Sterling, so it, effectively, cost me nothing. I was going to upgrade it this year, but I've spent so much time, effort and money getting it just right, I couldn't bear to get rid of it. lol.

funny how the grill lids always get burnt....

That's because it's so easy to forget that the grill is on. If you look, they're nearly all burnt in exactly the same place, where the lid has been closed with the grill on, and it has burnt through the hole in the hob.

Easy mistake to make, unfortunately.

Cheers! It seems very decent for the money,

It had a bit of damp inside after winter but its been horrid up in the highlands. Nothing a heater, dehumidifer and a scrub didn't fix.

With the grill lid, ill probly get a sheet of metal over the whole thing at some point to tidy it up.

Id like to refresh the cabinets inside as they look tired round the edges but as its cosmetic, It didn't really hit the radar to do to make it work. Maybe if we keep it I might freshen it up inside over next winter

Looks like you got a bargain. Our much newer Sterling has the same burn mark and we had plans to cover it but in the end have just lived with it.

As OH said its a good reminder not to put the lid down with the grill on!

Hope you enjoy it over the summer, I am sure the kids will love it.
