Hi, Does anybody know where you can get a sun canopy for a 2007 model Raclet Quickstop, can't find anything on the internet that has yielded an answer as yet?
Or failing that do you know where I could get one made up to zip onto the main unit? We want to deploy one for one night stops rather than erect the main awning.
If we have to go down the route of having one made up, I would appreciate the dimensions or a picture from some Quickstop owner who has one.
Thanks
Simon

We have one and I do have a pic somewhere, will try and dig it out.
They are quite hard to come by and we got ours through our local camping shop.

Great, is it zipped to the main unit and if so is only along the roof and not down the sides?
It looks like there are three poles with guys at the front end, roughly how wide is it please?
Thanks very much for helping us out.
Regards,
Simon

It is zipped and no, it doesnt zip down the sides.
Here is a link to the dimensions - they may help, as I'm not exactly sure!

Thanks again, did you get the sun canopy from OBI? I think I saw them at the Camping and Caravan show in Birmingham, very friendly people.
And lastly was it expensive?
Cheers,
Simon

Hi Simon,

Yes we did get the canopy via OBI, I think it was £150. They also managed to get us the kitchen annexe for the main awning which is great when you are all set up - gives you a bit extra.
Can't reccomend OBI enough, always really helpful when we have been there!

Hope you get something :-)

We are thinking of selling ours and upgrading - but in a quandry as to what to do!!

We have had ours 2 years and are still enjoying it, the kids 7 and 9 have a great time. The only trouble is we have to store it elsewhere at a friends and then the old problem of what to do when it gets wet. That's the main issue for me, sometimes we change our mind if it looks like a wet weekend at the campsite and don't go or go elsewhere.
My sister is looking at one of those trailer tents that was on the apprentice but there is a long waiting list apparently.
We might save up for a pop-top caravan as we go to France for our main holiday and need to save on the AutoRoute tolls, £150 last year, would be double with a caravan.
Will you be upgrading to a new trailer tent or caravan or even a motorhome, our friend has a VW, convenient but a bit pokey after being in a trailer tent.
Good luck with your upgrade and advertise the sun canopy separately if you sell, they are like hens teeth!
Anyway thanks for the info, nice chatting with a fellow Quickstop/Raclet owner.
Cheers,
Simon

We didnt manage to find a canopy for our quickstop, one of the reasons we went to a globetrotter instead for the extra space without an awning.

I can't imagine it would be a difficult item to have made, TVS (i think) seems to get mentioned a lot on here for having one off items and repairs done and seems highly regarded.

Nothing fancy with the canopy so it should be sensibly priced :)

By the way, there is a Raclet group on Facebook if you use that....

The universal ones from TVS are universal in that they fit most Conways and older Cabanons and sunncamps. They tie on under peaked canopies. I had a smaller version made for mine and the quality is superb. If you are in the NW then it is worth calling in person with your awning so as to get a good match.

We are thinking to upgrade to a Pennine Pathfinder or something similar. So that we could do weekends without putting the awning up. We have managed it with the Quickstop, but we were lucky to have great weather - not sure what we'd do if it was raining!

Good idea about selling the extras separately - may get a bidding war on them :-)

I think we will probably keep it for this year and then sell it next year now!

Got one!
It is a Raclet Sun Canopy from OBI, £180 delivered.
Thanks marie1605, Sarah at OBI was very helpful.

TVS never replied to my query so I can't comment on them.
